Our Why

We’re big believers that brands and businesses build connections by sharing their purpose with their customers, and that includes us at Labyrinth, so here’s how we started and our ‘why’…

How Labyrinth started

As a client-side marketer and CIM trainer, Abby welcomed the shift that the marketing function was increasingly becoming the driver of growth in businesses, to be the voice of the consumer, but could also see how this increase in responsibility led many marketers to become time-poor, overwhelmed, with skills gaps and in need of additional support.

Abby saw first-hand how external consultants would provide extra resource and present theoretical strategic plans but would then leave for the marketing teams to deliver. And as Einstein once said: “In theory, theory and practice are the same; in practice they are not”. Marketers were left to solve implementation problems or even abandon strategies that were not practical.

Labyrinth was created to be the consultants we wished we’d had; making realistic yet stretching plans that will deliver results and supporting marketers every step of the way to bring the plans to life.

Our Why

To empower the people behind brands, businesses and agencies to make change and grow their brands by providing knowledge, perspective and drive.

Our Values

Growth: always learning, setting goals, moving everyday towards making things happen – and we want to help others personally and professionally to do the same.

Support: we’ve been there and we get how stressful it can be to navigate change. And as accredited coaches, trainers and mentors, we’ll support you every step.

Action: our vision is that ‘no opportunity is missed due to a lack of capability or resource’. So we roll up our sleeves and get stuck in! Working in the way that suits you best; as external consultants, as an outsourced marketing department or as a close extension of your team.

Having seen first-hand strategic plans being presented by consultants to marketing teams or brand owners and then witnessing them being just left for the teams to deliver, I was driven to do things differently. I wanted to help ensure these plans were brought to life. Coupled with a passion for training and wanting to elevate the marketing function within organisations, I created Labyrinth. To not only help brands grow but more importantly support the marketers behind the brand, put an arm around to give them the technical and emotional support to succeed and navigate the maze to growth.
